Are you struggling to find the perfect gift for that loved one that runs? Or maybe you just want to treat yourself to something nice? Either way, here are 10 items any runner would love.
1 Running gloves
Before warming up during a run it can be pretty cold during those winter runs. The body is moving, leg muscles are warming up, but the hands aren't doing much besides catching that cold wind. So running gloves are definitely a welcome edition to a runner's winter gear.
2 Bib boards or Bib bits
Runners spend a lot of money on running gear and we get some great race shirts to show off our accomplishments. So it would be a shame if those awesome shirts get holes in them from pinning on bibs. Bib boards or BibBits are a great solution for this. Bib boards click together through your shirt without actually damaging your shirt and BibBits are magnets that keep the bib on the shirt.
3 Sport gels
Single packs as Stocking stuffers or a variety pack to test different flavours, just take your pick. There are a lot of different brands out there. Personally I really enjoy the Gu gels, they come in a lot of different flavours and they are really easy to ingest. It's something a runners who runs long runs needs, so get him something you know he'll use.
4 Running socks
As a kid you never wanted to get socks as a present, but times have changed. Running socks are a different matter, they can actually be an exciting gift to receive. An extra little tip here is knee high compression socks, if the person you are shopping for hasn't used them before, they will be in for a treat. It will help with their performance and recovery, so by giving them compression socks you are making them a better runner.
5 Lifebeam Vi
This is an amazing gadget for runners. It's a headphone set that coaches you during your run. It has an in-ear heart rate monitor and tracks your run performance. During your run you get tips on your form and pace. The coach will learn what type of runner you are and will adjust the training accordingly. The coaching plan is free for a year and the Lifebeam itself is only $18, a steal for this great quality piece of equipment.

8 Runner's World Magazine
The gift that keeps coming throughout the year is a subscription to Runner's world magazine. You can get a special gift subscription, so the person you give it to won't be charged once the subscription runs out and neither will you. A great magazine with all the information about running, gear and races that runners love to read about.
9 Flipbelt
I've mentioned this one before, but that is just cause I love the Flipbelt and it's probably my most used item in my running arsenal. It is just practical and comfortable. Personally my preference goes to the regular zipper version and not the newer Elite. But you can't really go wrong with the Flipbelt.
